Course: Miking Guitar Amplifiers

At our studio technology course that started at the beginning of the week, on Thursday we mic’d up drums and guitar amplifiers with the guys. The pictures show the miking of a Fender Bassman. We went a bit extreme because we used four microphones. This was great because it made the differences in the sound of the microphones clearly audible. Zanza

Zanza visited us again. True to their habit, the guys played the songs together live. Tomi plays the drums and sings, so we recorded the vocals separately. A brief overview of the recording conditions: Tomi played the drums in the main playback room. In the technical room behind me, Zoli, Robi, and Krisztián were on the bass and guitars.
