Another classic has arrived from the S.L. Amps workshop.

The amplifier combines the two most successful channels of the legendary British manufacturer, which are also commonly replicated by boutique manufacturers in the United States.

EF86 channel:
Popular classic British sound from 1958 with modern accessories.
2 inputs with a 6dB level difference. A two-position Bass Shift switch which, in position 1, provides a fully vintage-correct sound.
In position 2, it delivers tighter, more modern lows.
A 3-position Brilliance switch, in the off position, provides the traditional vintage “flat” sound, while position 1 characterizes the early British “treble” settings.
Position 2, on the other hand, offers the original brilliance sound with strong bass cut. Plus, it’s equipped with a triode/pentode switch. In the pentode position, you get the original vintage sound, which when cranked up, provides the traditional sweet tone. In triode mode, there’s less gain but greater headroom.

Top boost channel:
The original 1963 circuit features the classic interactive tone section.
With small adjustments to the Bass and Treble potentiometers, you can dial in new and different tones.
Top Cut: The high-cut applied in traditional British circuits after the phase inverter.

Power amp:
15W Class A power amp, switchable between Triode (7.5W) and Pentode (15W) modes.
In triode mode, typically characterized by a “smooth” sound.

-15W fully handcrafted “Class A” amplifier.
-Pentode/Triode switch in the power amp (15W/7.5W)
-1x EF86, 3x 12AX7, 2x EL84, 1x EZ81 (rectifier) tubes
